Questions
What does inverting actually do?
Every colour is replaced by its opposite on the colour wheel: white becomes black, red becomes cyan, and everything in between flips accordingly.
Can I invert it back?
Yes. Inverting twice returns the original colours exactly, because the operation is its own reverse.
Does it work on transparent images?
Yes, and the transparent areas stay transparent — only the visible pixels are flipped.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The pixels are read and rewritten inside your browser and nothing crosses the network.

How it works
Every tool here runs on the HTML Canvas API inside your own browser. When you drop a file, it is read straight into memory, changed there, and handed back as a download. Not one byte goes over the network — which is why there is no upload wait, no file size cap, and no way for anyone, including us, to see your images.
That also means the tools keep working with no connection once the page has loaded, and the only limit on file size is your device's memory.
