Questions
How strong should a vignette be?
Subtle. Around 30% is enough to steer the eye without anyone noticing it was done. Above 60% it becomes an effect in its own right.
What is the difference between strength and spread?
Strength is how dark the corners get. Spread is how far the darkening reaches towards the centre — a small spread keeps it to the very edges.
Can I make the edges lighter instead?
Yes, switch to the light setting and the edges fade towards white. It suits high-key photos and product shots on pale backgrounds.
Will this damage the photo?
Nothing is cropped or lost — a gradient is drawn over the top and the file is saved as a new copy.

How it works
Every tool here runs on the HTML Canvas API inside your own browser. When you drop a file, it is read straight into memory, changed there, and handed back as a download. Not one byte goes over the network — which is why there is no upload wait, no file size cap, and no way for anyone, including us, to see your images.
That also means the tools keep working with no connection once the page has loaded, and the only limit on file size is your device's memory.
